DO YOU ALSO OFFER EMERGENCY SERVICES?
No, we do not offer emergency services. If you need to see a doctor in the weekends or evenings, without emergency, you can visit your local CUAP (Centres d’urgències d’atenció primària) - the public health centres that are open 24 hrs every day of the year. For locations click here.
FOR EMERGENCIES: call 112, for ambulances call 061, or go to the emergency department of your nearest hospital.
DO YOU OFFER COVID 19 TESTING?
Yes, we have a special service for our patients to offer antigen rapid COVID 19 tests at your home, office or hotel, at your convenience. You will receive the results within 15 minutes, together with a certificate (fit to fly).
HOW DOES THE ONLINE VIDEO CALL CONSULTATION WORK?
You need a computer/laptop or phone with working camera.
When your appointment is confirmed, you will receive a link.
For attending the appointment, the only thing you need to do is click on the link and you will be forwarded to the virtual waiting room.
When the doctor is ready to see you, you will be picked up from there.
We use our patient-database system for virtual consultations. This is a secure, encrypted connection, fulfilling all GDPR requirements.
HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY CONSULTATION?
A consultation online needs to be paid in advance. This can be done online (follow our booking process), by bank transfer, Tikkie, ING betaalverzoek or Bizum.
A home or clinic visit can be paid in advance through our online booking process, or can be paid in cash at the end of the consultation, cheques are not accepted.
DO YOU OFFER FACE-TO-FACE VISITS?
Yes, at International Family Doctor we put the convenience of the patient first, offering face to face consultations at your house, office or any place that is convenient for you.
WHAT LANGUAGES ARE SPOKEN AT INTERNATIONAL FAMILY DOCTOR?
We speak Dutch, English, Spanish, German and basic Greek.
ARE YOU ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS?
Yes! We always accept new patients.
DO YOU ACCEPT HEALTH INSURANCE?
We do not have an agreement with any health insurances. Most private insurance companies will reimburse 80 -100% of the costs of your medical treatment, depending on your policy. We strongly advise to check this with your insurance beforehand.
DO YOU ACCEPT TRAVEL INSURANCE?
You will first have to pay for your consultation, then submit the invoice to your insurance. Normally travel insurances cover medical visits. If you travel with your health insurance only, It depends on your policy whether they will reimburse you. For both cases we advise to check with your insurance beforehand.
